A New Reputation Layer

Today we're launching Endorsements -- a new way for industry peers to vouch for your skills and expertise on Track Pitch.

In an industry built on reputation and word-of-mouth, we wanted to create a system that captures the trust signals that already exist in real-world relationships and makes them visible on your profile.

How It Works

Giving Endorsements

Any verified user can endorse another profile for specific skills. Skills include things like "Mixing," "Live Performance," "Sound Design," "Event Production," "A&R," and dozens more.

To endorse someone, visit their profile and tap the Endorse button. Select the skill you want to vouch for. Done.

Receiving Endorsements

Endorsements appear on your profile with a count: "Endorsed for Mixing by 12 peers." The more endorsements you have for a skill, the more prominently it's displayed.

Limitations

  • One endorsement per skill per endorser (you can't endorse the same person for Mixing twice)
  • You can endorse someone for multiple different skills
  • Endorsements are public and visible on the recipient's profile

Why It Matters

When a venue booker sees that 15 fellow artists have endorsed someone for "Live Performance," that carries real weight. It's social proof that goes beyond follower counts and streaming numbers.

For Artists

Endorsements validate your skills in a way that's hard to fake. They signal to venues, labels, and collaborators that your peers respect your work.

For Venues and Labels

Endorsements help you identify artists with verified capabilities. An artist endorsed for "Crowd Engagement" by multiple promoters is a safer booking bet.

For Fans

Endorsements give you another signal for discovering quality artists. If the artists you already follow endorse someone, that's a strong recommendation.

Integrity

We monitor for reciprocal endorsement rings (I endorse you, you endorse me schemes) and artificially inflated counts. Our goal is to build a genuine reputation layer for the music industry, and gaming the system undermines that for everyone.
